We had my mum's funeral wake at The Yew Tree, Kent last week and Guiseppe and his fantastic team took amazing care of us. The weather was so hot (a heatwave day) and the staff remained on-point and professional at all times. The food was fresh and handmade - we selected what we wanted from the menu and everyone who attended mentioned how great it was. I am truly grateful to Guiseppe, his team and his family for helping make a challenging day so much more comfortable and something we really didn't need to worry about. I will remember your care and kindness for a long time. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Our first time at The Yew Tree and definitely not our last. We had the Father's Day 3-course set menu and thoroughly enjoyed it, specifically the Cumberland scotch egg starter (so delicious). The Sunday roasts were lovely, and the chicken and beef cooked perfectly. My only negative is, I was mistakenly charged an extra £100 on top of my bill (which was deducted in the end). All in all a lovely meal with a few hiccups. Price per person: £40–50 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
