Fantastic experience, excellent food and service. Catered to a large group of 25+, food was brought out hot and fast, with no mistakes! If you're having a large group meal, I would definitely reccomend! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The place was not too busy as, you would expect for a Tuesday evening, but there were a few guests in. We were shown to our table by our host and given the menu. We were given just the right amount of time to decide on our choice. Soon after placing our order some complimentary bread and olive oil was brought out. The host was very attentive, he noticed that my wife wasn't using the olive oil dressing, came over and asked if she would like butter. The portion sizes were very good and the food was delicious (I had the seafood risotto) and reasonably priced. The wine was also very good and there is a good selection to choose from. The other staff were also friendly and we felt very welcome and were looked after very well and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Italian food. We enjoyed eating here and could find no reason to knock any stars off our rating so we give Restaurant Averna a five star score.
