A very poor meal. As visitors to the area we went by reviews online which was a mistake. Ordered drinks then discovered there were no sirloins left on the menu. 2 of us decided to go for Rump instead - big mistake. It was chewy and not cooked well. The mains took well over an hour to come. The waitress didn’t know which was rare vs medium-rare! not a good sign. My 80 yr old father couldn’t cut the steak far less eat it. He had to take half my burger which was ok. The lasagne was mush - well over-cooked and tasteless. Our spritz was served with soda or tonics instead of lemonade. Upon our complaints the server did offer us a refund. We took the refund for steaks and lasagne. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Been here a few times during the day and had a pleasant experience. However, a few weeks ago I went in with my husband during the evening for a few drinks and was unbelievably disturbed to find a small white bag of what appeared to be drugs in the women’s rest room. While I understand it’s a pub, it is always swarming with children. The atmosphere was not the same as it is during the day, with the staff being incredibly rude and focused on having a good time themselves instead of serving customers. Very disappointed Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I have visited the Peacock hotel on several occasion and staffs are always friendly. Great customer service (John was friendly and welcoming). Love the outdoor space, Food and drinks is reasonably priced, Food taste great as well.
