Great night at Bar Sazerac. Honestly a great hire and team Wes, Matt, Aiden, and Adam really know their craft. I love trying custom drinks, and West nailed a perfect bittersweet cocktail. Awesome vibe and top-tier drinks. The drink name is “I don’t know” Wes i prefer him with long hair! Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My family took me here yesterday for my birthday and we all loved it so much! None of us know anything about cocktails but our mixologist (I believe his name was Aiden) was absolutely fantastic, he gave us great recommendations and let us try some samples while also giving us a lot of really interesting information about each drink, where the ingredients come from, certain aspects of the history of the alcohol in the drinks and a whole lot more. He was seriously unbelievable and we had such a good experience because of him! So thank you Aiden if you read this, I hope I got your name right! Also, I have to mention the vibe and general atmosphere in here. It's a cozy and cool little area with really comfortable seating. Would love to bring a book in here some time and just chill for a couple of hours while trying different cocktails. We will definitley be back! 5 stars all day! I can't seem to understand the lack of customer service and hospitality at this bar. It's a beautiful bar with great cocktails but the two bartenders I have experienced here have been nothing but unpleasant. To preface - I'm certainly not someone who knows much about cocktails and so in settings like this, it's always nice to get suggestions from the experts. This evening, I had a asked a simple question of "what would you recommend?" and the question was met with an exasperated response of "well what do you like?". After explaining that I wasn't fussy and was truly just looking for guidance, I proceeded to ask "what is the most popular?". I suppose the bartender didn't like this question because the response I received was "I am not trying to sound like an asshole but why does that matter?". The tone and nature of that response along with the body language was uncalled for and put a damper on my evening. I left wondering if maybe there was something I said or did to provoke that kind of response. We are all humans - unnecessarily rude interactions with complete strangers that just have genuine questions is uncalled for. This is the 3rd instance where the service has been off-putting. Not sure if management is aware of the number of reviews citing the same. I want to support this bar because I love our city and our community but some of the staff working there do make it difficult. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Hi Liv, We sincerely apologize that you did not enjoy your visit. We really do care deeply about finding the perfect cocktail specific to each guests individual palate. We often try to find out what a guest enjoys drinking by asking the question "what do you like" or "what cocktails do you enjoy?"(eg. margarita, negroni, rum and coke, etc) because it points us in the right direction to what YOU enjoy drinking. Every person has unique preferences, and it brings us great joy and satisfaction when we get it right. Some people enjoy bitter cocktails, some enjoy savoury, some enjoy sweet, some folks like their cocktails a bit more tart.The question is not intended to come across rude, and we apologize if it did.
