Mily hotel w centrum miasta. Bardzo stary budynek z epoki. Pokoje wygodne i ladnie urzadzone. Kaloryfery nie dzialaly, wiec ogrzewanie malymi elektrycznymi piecykami, ktore szybko spelnily swoje zadania. Sniadanie full scotish breakfast ogromne i bardzo smaczne. Obsluga sympatyczna.

Blackfriars Inverness is one of those places you leave already planning your next visit. We ordered two of the daily specials—the crispy calamari and the pan-fried Shetland scallops—and both absolutely lived up to the hype. The calamari had the perfect crunch, was beautifully seasoned, and wasn’t greasy in the slightest. The scallops were cooked to perfection—tender, sweet, and paired with crispy pork belly and bite-sized potatoes that honestly deserved their own round of applause. For starters, we also shared the tempura prawns with sweet chilli sauce. Light, crispy, and packed with flavor. Our table also ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and leeks, and the burger. The salmon was perfectly cooked, flaky and moist, while the mashed potatoes were the definition of comfort food. The burger was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly as ordered. The best compliment I can give? Every single person at our table cleaned their plate. That doesn’t happen often. And let’s not forget the drinks. My Espresso Martini was almost too pretty to drink… almost. It was silky, rich, and one of the best I’ve had. The Raspberry Nojito and Watermelon Nojito were equally impressive—refreshing, flavorful, and perfect for a summer evening. The atmosphere deserves its own mention. The décor is what I’m calling “Highlander Chic.” If that’s not officially a thing… it should be. Beautiful stone walls, warm lighting, lush greenery hanging from the ceiling, stylish seating, and a relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger long after dinner. Outstanding food, delicious cocktails, friendly service, and an atmosphere that feels both elegant and welcoming. If you’re visiting Inverness—or lucky enough to live here—Blackfriars should absolutely be on your list. We’ll definitely be back.
