Wonderful, friendly, family run hotel in the heart of Callander. Miren was especially helpful & had lots of useful tips. Rooms were clean, cozy and quiet. Homemade breakfasts were delicious. Enquire about the evening meals. We found the location to be a great base for exploring. We especially enjoyed walking along the river in the evenings. Thank you both, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We didn’t stay at Callander Meadows, but after eating there once during our trip to Callander, we immediately knew we had to go back again before leaving — we literally squeezed in one last meal before catching our bus home! The food is honestly exceptional. Every dish was packed with flavour without being heavy or drowned in sauces. It’s the kind of cooking that feels simple and effortless on the surface, but you can tell there’s so much creativity, care, and skill behind it. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and thoughtfully put together. The desserts were incredible too — easily some of the best we’ve had in a long time. You can really feel the attention to detail in every course. What made the experience even better were the hosts. They were so warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It’s obvious they truly love cooking and creating memorable food experiences for people. A real hidden gem in Callander, and somewhere we’ll absolutely return to next time we visit! Service: 5
