We had a spectacular experience at Cardinal to celebrate a birthday! The food was creative and interesting and the wine was absolutely delicious. The sommelier was super knowledgeable about the wines she was serving and did a great job ensuring we had what we wanted. We didn't want a sweet wine at the end and she gave us multiple tasters until we found something to suit us. Particular favourites includes the additional cheese course (a gorgonzola cheese and honey combo on top of a cake!), the gnocchi, mutton, and the apricot financier. Everything tasted better than its description on the menu!

My hotel recommended this restaurant, and what a neighborhood gem it is! I want to recommend it to everyone I know. It was a Wednesday, and they had a pre-set, tasting menu with communal tables. We met the loveliest local couple and went out with them later. The food was amazing, locally sourced cuisine, with pickled leeks from last season. They even recycled non-food waste into a dessert, avoiding waste. Truly a gem in a relaxed atmosphere. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is my 2nd visit since Cardinal opened. I booked their 3 course tasting menu as a relaxed mid week get together for friends. We were blown away by the experience. Utterly amazing. We had the most relaxed enjoyable meal. Staff were incredibly helpful. Food was stunning. Before our starter we were served a beautiful onion soup with pine oil, followed by the most amazing brioche buns! We added the cheese course to our 3 course tasting menu. A very special evening. Thank you! 5*. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £100+
