I ended my working day 2 weeks with a cheeky thought of fish and chips, fortunately I was parked down the strand at the time of contemplation. I looked on Google maps to see if there were any 'close by' chippy's - not wanting to drive up the high street to Tony's, my local, just for convenience.. I found chipmunks fish and chips and thought " lovely that'll do!". I walk into the chippy and ordered 2 small meals ( fish and chips) but got told that they don't do 'meals', not a problem so I asked for 2 small chips and fish only then to found out that the staff member put through my orders as medium and got told the price which I thought " that's fair" ( £15:50 for two) so I happily accepted.. I waited for my order, said "thank you" and took it home as they are only a takeaway. I then found out the portion size for the price I paid only when I stood in my kitchen and laughed to myself in surprise. I was not happy. The image I have added is a close to realistic view on what I got handed, I hold up my hands to say I did have 3 chips and a corner of the fish before I considered a picture and a review. But still a close portrait of what was in the box from the chippy. I felt sad and also like I got "taking the Mickey out of", I will not be considering chipmunks again unfortunately.. fish and chips is a classic treat and well deserved after a long day! I'm sorry you were not happy.... can I ask why you didn't contact the shop directly to discuss ? You had cones of chips with your order which is equivalent to a childs portion ... we offer a cone (which is what you ordered) which is 1.50 then a small £1.90 a medium £2.50 and a large £3.10 we are a family business who try our hardest to offer fair prices and value for money I'm sorry you were not happy..... just a tip ... talk to the business ‍
