Another delicious brunch at Cranberries! I unfortunately don’t have a photo, I was so excited and hungry that I jumped right into my meal. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with the hollandaise sauce on the side. The home fries were crispy, eggs were cooked perfectly, and the side of fruit was fresh. Coffee was hot and good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $10–20

We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday morning after a long walk through the neighbourhood, and it turned out to be one of the nicest surprises of our whole trip. The eggs benedict were absolutely wonderful, with a perfectly runny yolk and a hollandaise that tasted completely homemade. Our server was so warm and patient, kept our coffee topped up without us even having to ask, and gave us some lovely tips on other spots to visit nearby. My husband and I will certainly be making this a regular stop whenever we come back to Toronto.

Over the years I’ve probably walked past Red Cranberries restaurant hundreds of times. I’ve never stopped in. But I visited Cabbagetown today and wanted to try something new. I saw that Red Cranberries has great Google reviews and decided to check it out. A real surprise. Non-descript on the outside, but very homey and pleasant on the inside. Super-friendly and efficient service and an excellent menu. Home cooking along with some more high-end choices. A good variety. I would be happy to try pretty much 100% of the menu selections. Great prices as well. We had liver and onions, French onion soup and a club sandwich. All were delicious. And Red Cranberries has a really neighbourhood feel to it as well. Lots of regular customers. Honestly, if I lived in Cabbagetown, Red Cranberries would be my go-to restaurant. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
