I don't like leaving negative reviews, which is why I addressed my concerns with the staff before posting. Unfortunately, the Easi Platter I received today was cold through and through, as if it had been sitting in a fridge rather than being made to order. When I asked the gentleman at the counter if it was made fresh, he insisted it was fresh but mentioned a new process involving the vinegar in the rice. I asked if had been in the fridge and he assured me it had not. It was a confusing explanation for sushi that lacked the quality I'm used at Edo. If the process has changed to pre-chilled sushi, it should be made clear to customers. I can buy chilled sushi off a grocery store shelf. Definitely not like it used to be and cannot return for fridge cold sushi claimed to be fresh. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Hi Krystal, thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for speaking with the team in store. We truly appreciate you raising your concerns directly. We’re sorry this visit did not meet expectations. Our sushi is prepared fresh in store daily, and while certain preparation steps involve proper temperature control for quality and food safety, it should still deliver the experience our guests know and enjoy. We also regret that the explanation provided left you feeling uncertain. That is not the standard of clarity or hospitality we aim to provide. We would welcome the opportunity to connect and learn more. Please reach out to us at https://www.edojapan.com/contact-us/ with the location and time of your visit so we can follow up appropriately.
