A Fresh Start at Our Local Pub For a long time, The Ferry has felt a bit unloved — but tonight gave us real hope. We met the new manager, and just watching how he works, speaks to customers, and carries himself was a genuine breath of fresh air. It already feels like the place is waking back up. We’ve noticed small changes happening already, and we really hope the team gets on board with his standards, because they’re clearly high and exactly what the pub has needed. Good luck to him — we can’t wait to see what the future holds for The Ferry. Lovely pub in ideal location. Popped in on way to Trent Bridge and had an excellent meal. Service was excellent and beer very well kept. Lovely atmosphere and will definitely consider this next time we go to the cricket! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Fura talked in length about the historical significance and importance of the ferry inn and how its Situated next to the scenic River Trent and Wilford Meadow, it features original 14th-century beams, a traditional pub menu with hearty Sunday roasts in her service she mentions It was converted to a refreshment stop in the 18th century to accommodate passengers utilizing the foot ferry that crossed the River Trent (which ceased in 1864). The Grade II listed site is packed with character, even showing us the featured old stone fireplace. she recommends the beef rump sandwich! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £20–30
