This is still one of our favourite restaurants to visit when we are in The Cotswolds. The Sunday Lunch was superb but the restaurant was so busy we had to keep asking for items we had ordered. The staff were charming but appeared to be overworked which, as customers, made us feel uncomfortable. Having said that, we would still go back. I think the proprietors need to be a little less greedy and take a handful less bookings or employ more staff.

Food was superb - endive & Stilton salad as a starter was excellent and cod with mussels & chorizo in a broth was amazingly good - we were at a lovely quiet table in a back room, quiet until a group of women, talking at very loud volume and shrieking with laughter, was seated at the next table - that, unfortunately, put an end to what had been a very pleasant meal for us, as it made conversation between the two of us rather difficult - others at nearby tables seemed to be equally bothered by the noise generated by the large group - there wasn’t much one could do except tolerate it - not blaming the women - they were just enjoying an evening out - but their extremely noisy presence did negatively affect our evening at the Fox Inn
