For generations, residents and visitors have delighted in the rich history and architecture that combine to make Rochester, Kent’s shining light in the Garden of England.
At the George Vaults, we have continued in this rich history and added a modern twist with a touch of class.
Based in the centre of Rochester with three floors and five distinctive areas, there are few venues that offer such choice and high standards.
The a la carte menu is created from locally sourced produce, with delicate flavours providing you with a wide choice of dishes. The weeks culminate with our traditional Sunday roasts, for all the family to enjoy. We are also able to offer creative buffet selections for large groups and private functions. All our food is complimented with a selection of wines alongside our draught beers and ciders.

This is now called The Pink House. If you love pink this is the place for you. It's great for kids parties (in fact anyone who loves pink!) The food is fantastic - you don't know whats going to turn up pink! Milk, water, feta cheese or water with glitter in it. Even prosecco with candy floss on the top! Highly recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We are visiting from the United States and decided to try this place. Our servers, Josie, Carla and Summer were friendly, welcoming and gave us fabulous service. The food, desserts and drinks were tasty and filling and the whole experience was satisfying. My brothers met some locals who were also military veterans and had a nice chat with them. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's currently the Sweeps Festival, as I write this review and the place was buzzing (plus there was a wedding being held at the venue). Luckily for us as we entered, there was a table available, opposite the bar, so we quickly grabbed it. First impressions were that the place was decorated to a high standard and the bar looked well stocked. Also the distance between the tables was pretty good, so as to not accidently bang other tables, if you needed to visit the toilets (which were on the floor above) or have a look around, which I did. I think there was another toilet for those who may need it on the ground floor. Our waitress was Lola, who was a credit to the place. Very polite, not overattentive and funny, when we had quick chats! We ordered drinks and just a main meal, as we were enjoying the festival. I had Venison Ragu, which was very tasty and had a large portion of meat with the pasta. My wife had two of the smaller dishes, so she could try more and she had a Potato Rossi & the Crab Arancini. They looked great and tasted delicious. These were from a special menu for the festival, which means we will have to return in the near future for another visit. Overall, this was a pleasant find and we can highly recommend it! Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
