Phoned manageress at the Spinners Rest, Ancoats, to book/reserve a few tables for 15 family members for a birthday meal/drinks. Told no reservations/bookings allowed. Could hardly turn up, 15 in total, without a reservation . Manageress not helpful. Imagine how much the cost of 15 meals, plus drinks, the company lost, as a refusal to take this booking. Ignore the website which tells you to book a function. Went elsewhere

Afternoon. I was having a drink in this lovely Pub . But can you tell me why Joseph Holt Brewery are not helping with keeping the pub up to a good standard. . Urinal covered over with black bag - One of the Taps not working - Graffiti on the walls - hand dryer not working hand towel in its place . - and the toilet roll holder needs replacing- And we see food on the black board above the bar yet when we asked about food, we was told they are not serving food . I can live with that because of Covld 19 . But the rest of the fixtures and fittings, can a member of your management team not go down and see what they can do . The lady behind the bar was very nice and welcoming but it's a shame that you as a Brewery are letting them down . Come On Joseph Holt Your better then this . So the next time I visit the place again can you promise that things will be improved ?

Hi, yes we did initially say 2019/20 when we first purchased the Shamrock but that was before the situation we've all had to deal with over the past 16 months. The Shamrock requires a full refurbishment which is why we've had to delay the project and are looking to reopen the pub in 2022. I hope you can understand and appreciate this.
