Went on a Sunday afternoon, lovely staff! I had the carbornara udon (minus pork and shrimp), with katsuya chicken on the side - SO GOOD! Large portion for what you're paying. Eating the udon was tricky with the chopsticks, but you can make it work. Great presentation and arrangement of your food tray once it arrives as well. You can tell someone took their time to place all the utensils and bowls in a specific way. Overall an amazing experience! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$30–40 Recommended dishes: Carbonara Udon Dietary restrictions: Halal chicken is available! Be aware that they do sell pork here though.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Waterloo! I’ve been here a few times, and my favorite is the red carbonara udon. It’s spicy but super flavorful. If you can’t handle spice, they also have a regular carbonara udon. Definitely a must-try! Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Love everything at Katsuya! The katsu stays nice and crispy even with delivery, and the portion sizes are great. Everything is well prepared and consistently served perfectly.
