Rob was so helpful, polite, and great with the selection of food choices, as we didn't know what to get to eat. The customer service was 5* I would definitely come back because of him. Thank you! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Bad service! Ask Italian - Lakeside. The only decent member of staff was the guy who greeted us, with the red & black chequered shirt. All night the MANAGER bashed glasses in the bar - what a racket! (I was told by the asst manager, that the manager was behind the bar) We didn't even get served a lemon refresher drink to start until I asked but all the other tables did! I didn't get my cocktail I ordered either. No one even apologised when I mentioned it! The lady assistant manager with a stripy shirt and glasses was rude and extremely miserable all night! NOBODY asked us if the food was fine throughout the night & if we needed anything else. I have not experienced such miserable, unwelcoming staff, really bad customer service! Pomodoro pasta was watered down, pizza was cold. I think some SENIOR management needs to look into this branch, as your reviews aren't generally the best. Sad £80 spent & NO way was I paying for the service....as I didn't get any! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £80–90 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I'm so sorry to hear about this, Dee. Whichever of our restaurants you visit, you ought to be able to expect to enjoy beautifully prepared food and to be warmly looked after, but I'd agree that what you've described falls some way short of our usual standards.
