A lovely family run greek restaurant in a very nice area. The staff a extremely nice and its got a warm and welcoming atmosphere. All in all a satisfyingly charming place with very tasty food. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £90–100

A first visit in 30 years and wish I hadn't spoiled the memories of a wonderful meal then. Where to start? Have just visited Greece with quite simply the freshest ingredients, well prepared with a smile so maybe was expecting too much in London! Food ordered. Greek Salad. Aubergine dip. Pita. Chicken skewers. Moussaka. Octopus salad. Chips. Horta ( wild greens). Apple pie. Orange cake Greek salad. An absolute token gesture of a greek classic. A strand of red onion, bland feta, maybe one over ripe tomato, old olives and a lot of leaves that normally wouldn't be in a greek salad. A tiny bowl not the statement salad you'd get in Greece, if that's your welcome dish then it can't really be an authentic Greek salad or greek restaurant. No flavour, poorly presented. 1/10 Chicken skewers. 2 skewers with bland chicken, some undercooked. 1/10 Pita. Not toasted properly. Instead of crisp and hot, they were cold and undercooked inside. 1/10 Moussaka. Fine. 7/10. Chips. Fine. 7/10 Aubergine dip. Bland, mushy. 1/10. Horta. Bland. 1/10. "Fresh" octopus salad. It wasn't fresh, it was small pieces of tinned octopus in oil which any supermarket stocks. Thumbnail sized pieces that were an affront to anything served in Greece. 0/10. Orange cake. Fine. 6/10. Apple pie with ice cream. Fine. 7/10. 2 glasses langedoc Rose. Fine. 7/10. For a restaurant in London, Primrose Hill no less to be serving quality of a lesser standard than even a poor Greek taverna in Greece tells you how standards have dropped at Lemonia. Greek cuisine in Greece has moved on with an emphasis on ultra fresh ingredients often served with a style, twist ( new, local ingredients) and panache while Lemonia hasn't moved on from 1995. Carrot served with olives as a welcome dish? Service was passable but every dish was plonked on the table without any due care, qhd and the final bill of £150 was at least triple the food's true value when ingredients, service and quality are added up. It was nearly a full restaurant though so either Greek restaurant offerings in London are poor, we caught the restaurant on a bad night or its longevity is guaranteeing foot fall, but make no mistake this was not an authentic Greek culinary experience, nor was the food quality or service. I hope the restaurant freshens up its produce, uses only the freshest ingredients and keeps Greek staples faithful to recipes, because the Greek salad alone wasn't even up to a poor supermarket standard. No value whatsoever in the meal, bland, hurried and therefore only 1 star. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £70–80
