Bouncer was exceptionally snooty and kind of mean about their dress code. And what kind of LGBTQ+ space has a dress code!? Hardly the spirit of open and affirming to all. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Good fun, friendly staff, but can't remember being charged to enter a place where there wasn't live music for years. Maybe a Cardiff thing (?)

I had a fantastic experience at Mary's Cardiff with a group of 6 yesterday. The reserved leather semi-group seat was a comfy choice. The reasonably priced drinks, including the Pale Ale benefiting Stonewall housing, added to the enjoyment. Monday night's drag artist brought unexpected excitement, with standout moments in mini competitions/activities. This included a hat swooping activity that brought different groups together. Booking in is recommended, especially after 8:30. As for accessibility, there might be steps, but ground-floor disabled toilets are available. Beware of the climb from the toilets as they are upstairs. The owner is friendly and accommodating, joined by a great staff team. Be ready to engage with the acts and participate in impromptu activities – it's all part of the lively experience. Definitely will be looking to go again and will include in future tours to Cardiff. Price per person: £50–60 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
