Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Paid parking lot Parking: Warm, welcoming and minimal background noise which permits pleasant and easily heard conversation between your party. The food was fabulous. It was my birthday and they very kindly put a lit candle in my desert, which was a kind and lovely touch. Will definitely go back again. A little gem of a restaurant! Kid-friendliness: Fine dining restaurant, not sure if they have a childrens menu. I would telephone first to check, if that would be required. Wheelchair accessibility: You step in off the street with a very slight 'drop/'step' where the street goes downhill from the door, there is also a recessed mat in the entrance. I dont recall a step at all, so I would think access is possible but would reverse in through the door using large wheels to overcome the mat area, assistance may be required.. Also request a table on the entrance level, rather than the downstairs area. Toilets are downstairs.

The old post offers an amazing atmosphere where all are welcome and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. However unfortunately for us doing the tasting menu the food did not quite live up to expectations. As good as everything was cooked (all of the meats were cooked to perfection) every course just seemed to be missing something, mainly seasoning but just needed an extra something to take it up from food you can get anywhere - to food you want to go back for time and time again. A real shame, I think with a few tweaks the tasting menu could be something to rave about. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
