Award winning coffee, and you can absolutely tell. Maybe the best cup of coffee I’ve had this year. The whole place is such a cozy, home from home feel, but with the luxury of having incredible coffee and food. Baked goods are baked fresh, and their burnt basque cheesecake was delicious. Prices are good - not so cheap you’d have a mile long queue waiting outside, but not so expensive that you feel bad for getting a coffee, which also means you can easily become a regular without feeling bad! They also sell (cash only) local honey there, which is another reason to visit. 100% recommend to friends and family, and to anyone who appreciates a good cup of coffee. What an absolute gem of a find! A friend and I came to Crewe for some girl time and a stay at Crewe Hall Hotel. We wanted brunch and a catch up for our first day and I happened upon the Open Mind Cafe. The food was great - I had avocado and poached egg on sourdough, and my friend had the granola. They were so accommodating when I asked for a modification to mine and service was great. Also a lovely vibe - chilled, welcoming and friendly. We were so pleased with everything, we came back on the Saturday for lunch before we headed home - the Buddha bowl and smoothies were delish also. Can't recommend enough - reasonably priced, good service and very tasty food. Oh, I left with a piece of the almond and chocolate cake and omg - I wish I'd bought more! It's sooo good - if it weren't far from where we live, it would be a regular haunt for me! If I'm in Crewe again, I will absolutely be back and I'll try one of the classes downstairs.
