Not long moved to the area and have been trying the 3 pubs/bars (Taffs Well Inn, Fagins & The Swan). Have to say This Pub is my favourite though with a welcoming atmosphere, great beer at very reasonable prices and the best beer garden in Taffs Well for me. Had Sunday lunch here recently and everything was cooked just the way I like it with possibly the best gravy I've tasted. Great music players by the regulars on a top quality jukebox and just your no nonsense, no thrills kinda boozer which is just what I've always loved in a pub. Nothing pretentious about it just your proper people having a good time in a brilliant pub! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Sunday lunch today at this lovely old pub. I'm a vegetarian, the landlady and chef , Jill, went out of her way to make me a Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and gravy that I could eat apart from the usual ones that she cooks with beef fat etc. It was great home cooked food, my meat eating companion raved incessantly about the beef gravy. A lovely meal, lovely pub, great service and attention to detail, fantastic, highly recommended . Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: They care about their product and service, they want everyone to enjoy their time there.
