We had a fantastic Birthday Meal this week, the food and drinks were delicious! We ate Ravioli, charcuterie platter with focaccia, Beef Cheeks, Pork and Lamb. Excellent Wine and Prosecco recommended by our Waiter. Everything was perfect! Service outstanding highly recommend! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a wedding party for my daughter on 9th May , couldn’t fault it . Room was fantastic loads of food. We can’t thank Molly and her team enough for making it a special night. Called in for a meal , total gem of a place a must visit , will be back for more Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ate at The George on Sunday evening got off to a good start with two excellent starters Garlic mushrooms and the Pork belly. Then things went down hill when our Steak and ale pie arrived over half the plate was just covered in potato wedges a small ramakin of peas and the pie was abysmal it contained a mixture of meat fragments and mixed veg. i can honestly say I have never had a pie like it and never want one like it again. I have eaten at the George on several times and this is the werst meal I have ever had. I suggest the chef goes to Haighs or the local butchers to find out what a steak and ale pie looks like.
