We went to try their special offer menu and were not really expecting much above average but couldn't have been more wrong. The place itself was not noisy or overcrowded (there was plenty of space between tables). The customers were mainly older people and families. Don't expect a restaurant feel. This is a pub, but the seating area was at the front away from the bar. The ladies toilets were clean and well maintained. As for the food, it was excellent. I am normally a chunky chip person, but had the skin on fries which were the best I have had in a long time - better than a lot of restaurants I have visited. It did take a while for our food to arrive, but it was worth it. The homemade toffee cheesecake was the best! It is best to book in advance as it is very popular. Started coming to the New Inn a little while ago on the recommendation for Sunday lunches. Since the £5 menu we have been weekly! The food is always fresh and tasty, it is cheaper to come here as a family of 4 than cook! And the £3 desserts are to die for: everything is home cooked! Don't expect huge portions for a fiver they are generous medium portions and well worth the money. We 100% prefer coming here for value for money, quality of food and also the friendly staff and locals. Deffo give it a try!
