I order the poke box through uber eats and always have a wonderful experience. I usually get the riptide bowl, delicious and well dressed with decent portions of everything. today i called in because i had forgotten i mention i wanted an ingredient substitute. they said they had already finished my order, but were happy to pick it out for me. when it arrived, it was re dressed and looked as if no changes had been made. very good service! thank you! Maybe it's not cool to pick a chain restaurant as your favourite Poke place, but cool be damned: THIS is my favourite Poke place. One of 7 Poke Box locations, the spot on King St. North in Waterloo is part of my regular take-out lunch rotation when I'm working in KW. I have personally ordered 15 times from this location in the first five months of 2026. My go-to order is the Large-sized GFP ("Gluten Free Perfection"), which has a massive amount of salmon plus kale, edamame, avocado, mandarin, pickled ginger and sesame seeds, with a spicy mayo. While the large bowl isn't cheap, it is *incredibly* hefty. I like a big lunch, and this bowl gives me all I can handle. Realistically I should split it into two portions. But history suggests that's not happening. All Poke orders though can be very highly customized! Bowls come with a "finishing touch" option at *zero* cost, which allows you throw in tons of extras like coconut, furikake, togarishi, green onion, jalapeno, chili flakes, pumpkin seeds and much more. I've also ordered for a group from the Poke Box - because of the customization and online ordering system, it's an easy way to order many separate dishes for a work event. I've run into two glitches in my fifteen orders which weren't a big deal. In one, the restaurant temporarily ran out of salmon and canceled the online order, but by the time I arrived they were back in stock and ready to go. In another, the online order didn't go through correctly, and had to be reordered in person. These were minor hitches - just make sure your order goes through! And while the restaurant offers in-person seating, it's not the best option -- it's really optimized to grab and go! Just be sure to grab a fork or chopsticks and throw them in your bag first or you'll be searching for your own later. If you are a) hungry and b) craving sushi or poke, you literally cannot do better than Poke Box in Waterloo. Strong recommend. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian options: Vegetarian, vegan, and pescatarian options too. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options including legendary "GFP" bowl.

Tried for the first time, Uber eats delivery & for the most part I thought the flavour were really good & everything tasted fresh except there was something I can't put my finger on as I started to eat more that didn't taste right. Till this day I can't put my finger on it, I also didn't feel the best after eating so for that it's four stars. Otherwise really loved the Salmon & Tuna!
