We had a quiet room at the back with no particular view but wow! It had a dressing area with plenty of storage a beautiful original fireplace and brewing station. Plus a large, well appointed, bedroom with yet another beautiful fireplace. A modern en suite with a bath and shower over. It was immaculately clean throughout and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are loving can't do enough to help! It's supposed to be a haunted hotel but we didn't have any additional visitors!

We spent a lovely 2 nights at the hotel. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious with views of the cathedral. Central location close to museums and cathedral with parking in the council pay and display carpark at the rear of the building. While not a problem for us, being an old building there are no lifts and some uneven flooring upstairs. Standard Wetherspoons food in the bar with a good choice of drinks Service: 4

What a terrible experience. We walked into the unicorn hotel as the first place we arrived in ripon. We were met with abuse from the locals as my wife is suffering from cancer and has unfortunately lost all of her hair. We spoke to some staff as we had children with us. The first member of staff tried to help but as soon as the manager turned up he was referring to the man by name and seemed to take no action. Obviously a local drinker can get away with murder in here. Disgrace of an establishment
