We recently dined at Urban Restaurant and had a mixed experience. The décor is lovely and the menu looks great, with a good range of fusion-style dishes without being overwhelming. Starters were very good, cocktails were excellent, and the wine was fine. Service from Tilley and her colleague (whose name I didn’t catch) was friendly and attentive, although the meal itself felt a bit rushed, likely due to the kitchen winding down. Unfortunately, the main disappointment was the steaks. My wife’s fillet had to be sent back due to being heavily over-salted. My sirloin, ordered medium, arrived rare and was very gristly, appearing to be served in two pieces. For £30–£40 per steak, this really wasn’t acceptable. Overall, the restaurant has a lot of potential, but at the moment it feels rushed and a bit immature. With better consistency and training, it could be much better. Went in for lunch very disappointed service poor young very inexperienced staff had to ask someone to take our food order no one offered us a drink food came after 45 minutes and was off a poor standard
