Visited Krispy Kreme for some evening dessert. The atmosphere of the store is unique with doughnuts being freshly made as you walk in. The service is prompt, professional, and when ordering the original glazed, they make sure to pick the freshest batch. The location can get busy at times so I would be prepared to wait up to 5 minutes, and recommend getting the original doughnut. Overall it was a positive experience, the only thing is that the tables were not cleaned and the chairs were a mess. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Went to their "June 5th" donut day promotion and got a dozen assorted donuts at the regular price plus a dozen of their classic donuts for only $2. Naturally, there was quite the lineup inside, but at least they had an express line for those who were only there to get the classic plain ones. Although I did wait a total of 40 minutes from arriving in line to getting my two dozen donuts, their donuts are all pure evil (meaning sinfully delicious!). Have loved them for a long time and am very happy they're back in Cowtown! :D Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20

I recently stopped by Krispy Kreme to grab a box of doughnuts, and the experience was honestly much more enjoyable than I expected. What immediately stood out to me was how transparent and immersive the entire setup is. Through the large glass viewing windows, you can actually watch the full production process in real time, from the dough moving through the conveyor system to the glazing process and final preparation. For anyone who appreciates food production and fresh baking, it is genuinely satisfying to watch. The store itself is modern, spotless, bright, and very family friendly. The open concept layout gives the place a clean and welcoming atmosphere, and the smell of freshly made doughnuts as soon as you walk in is almost impossible to resist. The display cases were well stocked with a variety of classic glazed doughnuts, filled options, sprinkled selections, and seasonal flavors. I picked up a box of their signature Original Glazed doughnuts along with a few assorted varieties, and they were exactly what Krispy Kreme is known for. Light, airy, soft, and incredibly fresh. The texture almost melts in your mouth while still keeping that delicate elasticity that makes a proper yeast doughnut so satisfying. The glaze was smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced with that iconic buttery sweetness. That being said, if you are sensitive to sugar, just be prepared because these doughnuts are definitely on the sweeter side. Delicious without question, but unapologetically indulgent. The location is also extremely convenient. There is plenty of parking available, making access very easy even during busier hours. It is also easily accessible by public transit, and the overall setup makes it a great stop for families, kids, or even just a quick dessert run. Overall, I had a really pleasant experience here. Between the transparency of the production process, the cleanliness of the location, the fresh doughnuts, and the accessibility, this is absolutely a place I would recommend for anyone craving a classic sweet treat in Calgary.
