Rice was burnt and not edible the rabbit was served to me with an odour of bio, without any onions what so ever.
You call this food I have had Stifado which is like a rabbit stewed with onions in many restaurants in the past however you people need to be closed down permanently.
You people are a joke and are in serious need of new management.
I will definitely be taking this further, I will be reporting Paneri Taverna to the Food Standards Agency.
I ordered moussaka along with the meatballs (keftedes) and what a disgraceful experience it was for me.
I had a bite-full and found the béchamel cream of the moussaka to be so watery it had no taste to it at all I truly believe that it must of been frozen, I saw that the chef sprinkled fresh parsley on top and the mince meat was like chewing on bits of rubber, I couldn’t figure out what I found great difficulty in doing chewing or swallowing, tyres would have probably been chewable at least but not the moussaka that I ordered that’s for sure.
Coming to the keftedes which is actually one of my favourite authentic Greek dishes, it was so hard and red hot heat wise and was dripping with oil.
I waited a vey good 30mins for this which I can not call food only to be shocked, I then asked the waitress why is the food here so bad, the response I got from her was (I’m sorry but what do you want….. for us to cook it freshly made for you!)
I guess it was nice of her to be apologetic in some what way!
I then replied to her saying, well you can take all this food that wasn’t freshly cooked away, as the food is just not edible at all.
I then went home with a Chinese take away instead and was in bits.
I’m surprised is to how people don’t fall ill eating at this restaurant. Well not a lot of people probably go to Paneri whilst reading these reviews I guess!
I actually found out in the end by one of the other members of staff who have been working there for years, that it has actually gone under new management by Romanian people and ever since, Paneri will never be the same again. That I found to be a shame!
Sorry to the other guys at Paneri cooking the barbecue, who I have to say I found to be quite pleasant but I will be taking this further….
