I appreciate times are difficult with Covid but.....
Was not allowed to book a table
Turned up was put on a waiting list...was told 20-25 mins
Others that were on list had not returned so there was empty tables
After 25 minute wait we went in
The menu, had soup, one sandwich, chicken with new potatoes and salad, or cheese and spring onion tart with new potatoes and salad
Went to order was told they had sold out of the chicken (wish they had said when they gave us the menus)
Food came out, the new potatoes were part of the tart and the “salad” consisted of three lettuce leaves with a bit of oil over the top
Was given the bill with service added!
Staff had masks on although one had a home made mask that was not covering her nose.
Needless to say we won’t be rushing back!!! Which is a shame because I was really looking forward to trying it.

The food is sadly not very good. Chewy beef for one meal and a small amount of fatty pork for the other and a seeming obsession to serve sweet vegetables in honey or weirdly sprouts with pears which the waitress thought was not another sweet vegetable offering. Alternative vegetables were offered and accepted but were never received. Cauliflower cheese was excellent as were roast potatoes. Coffee was grim, served in red hot cups so assumed microwaved especially as it tasted burnt. Think this is another celebrity chef chain going downhill. Like our first visit to a Jamie’s Italian our first here was superb but like Jamie’s it’s been downhill since. We were only charged for one meal. Staff have changed too. Used to be older and knowledgeable about the food now very young and would be more at home in a McDonalds. Much better pub food available in Lyme Regis for example.
