I stayed at the White Hart while on business in the area. We ate in the bar are. I had a lovely bacon chop and a couple lovely pints. The room was really clean, spacious and has a great size tv. It was really reasonably priced. Too reasonable for the quality I thought. No complaints there. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a Marstons hotel with a historic front and a modern section at the back with newer guest rooms and a large business center with conference rooms. We stayed in the newer rooms. The room was nice with a good size bathroom. There is an elevator for upper floors. It is well situated between the old historic wharf area (lots of restaurants) and the old town (about a 10 minute walk either way). We had the breakfast included with our booking and the food was good. Staff were very attentive although we waited for service for about 10 minutes when we sat down for breakfast on one day. There's a Wetherspoons across the street that serves a low cost breakfast as an option to the hotel breakfast. If you book directly with Marstons there's a 20% discount on food and parking is free (otherwise it's 10 pounds). We enjoyed out stay there and Exeter is a good place to visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
